Summer isn't quite over, and there are still plenty of warm days to enjoy our gorgeous city. So soak up these golden days because autumn is just around the corner. To help you make the most of September, here's a list of some awesome activities happening around Boston so you can enjoy the last warm days of 2022.

Grab some fresh food at a farmer’s market.

Farmers' markets are an excellent opportunity to meet some of Boston's local vendors and operators. Pick up some local cheese, bread, and local produce. Grab some authentic Mexican or taste some Peruvian street food to really spice up your day.  

 

Hit up a Red Sox game.

Baseball season is in full swing, and if you haven't yet checked out a game at the iconic Fenway Park, this is the time of the year is the perfect time to watch a Saturday afternoon game and grab a hot dog. The season is almost over, so tension is building, and the games are getting extra exciting!

 

Explore the Charlestown House Tour

On September 17th, take a self-guided bi-annual tour of some of Charlestown’s beautiful neighborhood homes. For over the past 40 years, Charlestown homeowners have welcomed visitors into their homes. It's a fun opportunity to peek behind the brick of Charleston’s historically significant homes and into the lives of some of our wealthiest residents.

 

Chow down at the Boston Local Food Festival

The 12th Annual Boston Local Food Festival, held on September 18th from 11 am to 5 pm, is a free event that will host 75 local food vendors. Every year the festival attracts over 40,000 visitors. Expect excellent food, a lovely view of the city, and of course, plenty of fun activities for the kids.

 

Visit the Boston Arts Festival

Featuring Boston’s best artists, from jewelry to painting to live music, this festival shouldn’t be missed! Check it out on the 10th or 11th of September between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm at Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park.

 

Enjoy the Boston Film Festival

Whether you're looking to catch the newest indie film or be enlightened by recognized filmmakers, there's something for everyone at the Boston Film Festival. This is the 38th year the festival is being held and will run from September 22nd-26th. Check out the Boston Film Festival website for more information on show times. 

 

Boston is a city that really celebrates the warmer months, and September will have the last few weekends of warm weather before crisp October sets in. So enjoy the month, explore the city, and take advantage of some of the fun activities taking place in Boston this month.
