Best Nightlife Spots in Back Bay

Back Bay NightlifeWhen does the party end? It doesn’t have to when living in the Back Bay neighborhood. The neighborhood is very well known for its nightlife. The clubs and bars in Boston keep the party hopping until 2:00am with last call for drinks usually around 1:30am. Here are some of the best nightlife spots in Back Bay.

The Bebop: This musical venue caters to musicians and music lovers alike. The upbeat club at 1116 Boylston Street is open 11:00am-1:00am daily. They offer a full lunch and dinner menu and a weekend brunch menu with live music. A weekly jazz jam from 8:00pm-11:00pm on Mondays, a weekly bluegrass jam from 9:00pm-12:00am on Wednesdays, and a weekly open mic from 8:00pm-1:00am on Thursdays are just three great reasons to stop by and unwind with some great food and song. The event calendar is updated often, and you never know who might be playing next (Bruce Springsteen stopped by for a show in 2019…maybe he’ll stop back for a surprise set or open mic night).

A.T. O’Keeffe’s: Located at 911 Boylston Street you will find the oldest sports bar in America! This Irish pub and bourbon club (formerly operating as McGreevy’s) is open daily 11:00am-2:00am. The bourbon club, coming soon, will be offering members exclusive access to single barrel offerings and access to the tasting room for hosting private dinners.

City Bar at Lenox Hotel: This is the perfect place for a nightcap. The cocktail bar at 65 Exeter Street is both elegant and casual, offering classic cocktails along with some very unique martinis. The bar is open daily 4:30pm-2:00am.

The Red Room at Café 939: The Berklee College of Music students run this coffeehouse serving up live music performances and other events in this all-ages venue at 939 Boylston Street.

Oak Long Bar + Kitchen: Enjoy a late night meal or a nightcap at the bar recently rated the number one hotel bar by Boston Magazine. The seasonal menu features local ingredients for a true farm-to-table dining experience at 138 St. James Ave. in the Fairmont Copley Plaza. Last call to the kitchen is at 10:00pm, and last call for drinks is at 11:45pm daily. Private events can be accommodated at their “High-Top Views'', “Red Room Lounge” and “St. James Experience”.
