Grainne O’Malley’s: This casual and no frills pub is exactly what you want when you are looking for a real Irish tavern experience. They offer up delicious basic pub fare with an excellent assortment of draft beers on tap. They are experts in pouring Guinness with a trophy to prove it. If you and your friends are in the mood for the perfect pour of Guinness served with a satisfying and delicious plate of Bangers & Mashed or a heartwarming helping of Shepherd's Pie you have found your new favorite watering hole…Sláinte! 

The Publick House: This beer bar is highly rated by the contributors to BeerAdvocate. The extensive and well curated beer list has an excellent mixture of American and Belgian options. Traditional Belgian fare includes Moules Frites and mussels cooked in Belgian beer (the unofficial national dish of Belgium). The Publick House offers up several variations of this incredibly tempting dish. There is a traditional pot of mussels cooked in Allagash White with coriander, herbed garlic butter, and grilled lemon. They also offer a pot of mussels cooked in cider with andouille sausage, garlic, red onion, tomato, and roasted corn, and another pot of mussels cooked in an India Pale Ale. Hops N Scotch: This bar and restaurant offers craft beer, whiskey, and comfort food. The program features 40 beers on tap, 40 beers in bottles, and 120 kinds of scotch and bourbon. Southern comfort food includes Blackened Catfish Po’boys and Fried Chicken with Grits. Eggs Benedict with Kimchi Crab Cakes is a local favorite…Joie de vivre! 

The Abbey: The kitchen is open 11:00 am-1:30 am every day. This cozy little pub offers satisfying pub-fare including Sriracha Deviled Eggs, Charred Caesar Salad with White Anchovies, and an 8oz. Grass-fed burger with aged Vermont Cheddar and Mixed Greens. Top that burger with a fried organic duck egg and applewood smoked bacon for a real treat. The Abbey has a healthy variety of draft beers, bottles and cans, creative cocktails, wine, and scotches to properly pair with that fried organic duck egg…Down the hatch! 

Burro Bar: The Burro Bottomless Brunch is back! On Saturday and Sunday, you can enjoy all your favorites, served in tapas style portions including Huevos Rancheros, Chilaquiles, Morning Tacos, Benedicts, and Papas Bravas. This cheery Mexican eatery and tequila bar has locations in Brookline and the South End. The tequila list features over 100 bottles to pair with creative dishes from Chef Joe Cassinella that give center stage to local ingredients. Short Rib “Double Stack” Tacos (with crunchy and soft tortillas, tres quesos, beef carnitas, savoy cabbage and jalapeño slaw, poblano and onions, Mexican cream, and cota) are perfectly paired with your favorite tequila any night of the week. The Short Rib Tacos are also featured on the weekend brunch menu.
